NIM: I am unable to find an equivalent rAg for bindumAlini in nim. Hence, we can use the same name bindumAlini in nim also. ThATH: I am unable to find an equivalent ThATH in nim. In sim, bindumAlini's mother tune is cakravAkam (a bird's name and a rAga's name). I understand from some seniors, that cakravAkam equals rAg ahirbhairav. On the net I find two versions 1) ahirbhairav and 2) ahirbhairavi.
Many people depend on Wikipedia for information. According to it: ahirbhairav has the following notes: Arohana S r G m P D n S' Avarohana S' n D P m G r S which are the same notes as cakravAkam. But NIM does not recognise ahirbhairav as an independent THATH. Besides, the name ahirbhairav may confuse people so as to treat it as bhairav. Bhairav does not use ^a (kOmal soft ni).
Hence it will be apt to recognise cakravAkam into NIM as an independent THATH, either with the name cakravAkam or simply Ahir, without bhairav.

Poet-composer: tyAgarAja perfected this rare rAga bindumAlini in his composition 'enta muddo enta sogaso'. Literal Engl. translation: What-a-kiss-worthy thing, what-a-graceful thing.
This composition has great philosophical depth, beyond narrow thinking of religious boundaries.
Stanza 2 laments that howsoever great, men may be, they are the slaves of women. Stanza 3 highlights that people wear a disguise of piety, while their eyes ponder on the beauties on their mothers-in-law. A milk pot cannot know the taste of milk, though it may contain/possess milk. A true gnAni (a person who has true awareness of what is real and unreal) can alone identify the difference. This is the beauty which tyAgarAja emphasized when he said 'enta muddo enta sogaso', according to my humble view.
