tune dharmavati abc notation and mp3

The mp3, I am now presenting, is based on Tune rAga dharmAvati.
Dharmavati is a mother tune (MeLakarta No. 59) in the South Indian Music System - the Carnatic Music.
This sweet rAga is suitable for expressing devotion and sadness.
Dharmavati is a pratimadhyama rAga.


Question: What is a pratimadhyama rAga?
The South Indian Music has a Mother-tune framework of 72 rAgas (tunes). The first half of 36 are based on suddh madhyam (soft) or the note 'f'. The second half 36 are based on prati madhyam (tIvr or strong) or the note 'f#'.
Thus any 'f' raga will have its corresponding 'f#' raga 36 ragas away. Example: The 'f' raga SankarAbharaNam of c -major is Mother tune (MELAkarta) No. 29. Its corresponding f# rAga is kalyANi or mEcakalyANi is 29+36 = 65.
Gist: The Mother tunes 1 to 36 are f rAgas. 37 to 72 are f# rAgas.


What is the f raga of the present rAga dharmAvati?
Ans: Dharmavati is mother tune No.59. 59-36=23. The Mother tune No.23 is the f raga of Dharmavati.
Compare the ascendences: Dharmavati has cdd#f#gab. Gourimanohari has cdd#fgab. Just one hash or sharp makes the difference.

Name of the literary work or song (classical name:kriti) = parandhAmavati jayati.
Author AND composer: Late muttuswami dIkshitar. One of the trinity of the karnATic music.
A small delineation of the raga (called AlAp) and creative rhythm cycles (kalpanAsvarAlu) and digitalisation, are by ybrao a donkey.
rhythm used: rUpaka tALam of SI Music. Patterns of 2+2+2 or 4+4+4 have been followed.


Ascendence: abc notation c,d,d#,f#,g,a,b.
Desce: c',b,a,g,f#,d#,d,c. The octave is complete. There are no omissions. Just note the sharps.
North Indian HindusthAni: I am unable to find the THATH dharmAvati in the Hindusthani Music. Some musicians might have already added. Or we may now add. Asce: sa, suddh ri, kOmal ga, tIvr ma, pa, suddh dha, suddh ni. Desce: sa', suddh ni, suddh dha, pa, tivr ma, kOmal ga, suddh ri.

South Indian: sa, catusriti ri, sAdhAraN ga, prati madhyam, pa, catusriti da, kAkali ni. sampUrNam-sampUrNam i.e. complete both in ascendence and descendence.
